"Ghana was Magical"

In April Kubi visited Ghana, West Africa for the first time for 2 prestigious events where she was invited to speak and the whole experience, she describes, can be summed up in one word “Magical”.

First up was the SHE SUMMIT an annual event held at the British Council presented by the glorious GLITZ magazine (Ghana’s answer to Vogue). Other speakers included Afua Osei (Co-founder of SheLeadsAfrica), Miss Vimbai and Michelle McKinney Hammond. The event is designed to empower and inspire Ghanaian women and Kubi went along and did just that.

Next up was Make Up Ghana a 3 day trade expo held at the prestigious La Palm Royal Hotel. Here Kubi presented a panel discussion with none other than Dentaa MBE CEO and founder of the GUBA awards. During the panel Kubi discussed how to build an authentic beauty brand where delegates found her advice, insightful, practical and down to earth.

After the Makeup Ghana Show, Kubi was asked to give out the 'Best Beauty Product' Awards at the Makeup Ghana Awards and ran into long time friend, mentor and Makeup Ghana Advisory Board Member Eryca Freemantle.

Kubi made such a splash in Ghana, her presence was actually picked up in local media.

"The thing that I found most amazing about Ghana was the amount of talent that I came across", from brand owners to local designers, from beautiful venues to exquisitely decorated hotels, the magic was everywhere and the talent was always on show. She has been so blown away that she has been inspired to embark on new opportunities and partnerships in Ghana. So watch this space and we will announce them as soon as the ball gets rolling.
