A senior official at the US Roman Catholic Church has resigned after accusing him of using the gay dating app Grindr.
An anonymous Roman Catholic newsletter, The SLOT Pillar, alleged that the anonymous information it obtained showed visits to gay bars and use of location-based dating apps.
Reverend Grace Jeffrey Burrill is secretary-general of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB).The USCCB said the allegations were serious. But there were no allegations of misconduct against minors.
To avoid further distraction from the ongoing operations and meetings, Monsignor Berrill resigned. with immediate effect,” the statement said.
